GOAL

To develop lasting relationships with other creative companies and use my media skills to provide these companies with highly polished creative services that help them become more successful.  To use my media skills to inform others of social and environmental issues of local and global importance.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
I am a digital media artist with professional experience in photography, commercial film and video productions , print and web design.

I have been thoroughly trained in and regularly use:

• Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, After Effects, iPhoto, iDVD, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Pagemaker, Filemaker, Director, NVU, and Microsoft Office
• Nikon D1X, Nikon D100, D200, Nikon D70, Olympus 2020 and many others, Panasonic DVX100, Cannon GL2, Sony VX2000, Sennheiser ME-64, Sennheiser ew100 Wireless Microphone and many others
• Lighting and its application to products and people, in and out of the studio
• Video production from initial concept through editing
• 35mm through large format, and digital photography
• Printing color and black and white images digitally and in the darkroom
• 16mm filmmaking, digital filmmaking, and visual storytelling

I remain current through seminars and the study of texts, manuals and trade journals.

EXPERIENCE & WORK HISTORY

July 2007 - Present:  Freelance Creative Support Services/Owner of Spyker Imaging

• Photography – documentary-style portraiture, event photographer, copy art, executive portraiture, photography animations, Brochure photographer for Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) at The Center for Women's Health
• Video– shoot and edit promotional and documentary-style video blogs, video slideshows, documentaries and infromative presentation-style videos, Videographer with Citysearch production partner - Geobeats.  I shot (but did not edit) the following videos: Cafe Al Dente, Giants Gym, Dermatology Associates, Athena Day Spa, Willows, Well Suited and 503 Motoring), Produce videos for local software caompany (OCMUSA) Produce video for local Pilates Studio.
• Design – web design (SinaiFamily.org, and Healthy Geckos) print design (for a client serving OHSU, OMSI & the American Heart Association), documentary packaging and promotional design
• Creative Consulting/Tutoring/Teaching - tutor photography, support services for search engine optimization and Google Ad Words, volunteer video teacher/asisstant for middles school students at Self Enhancement Inc., tutor indiviaulas and groups on video production, editing, mastering for DVD, simple web design and Photoshop.  In July 2008, I taught a Video Summer Camp to 18 students (age 6-12) at The Portland French School.

• Managed the longest operating full-service production company in Oregon
• Responsibilities include: commercial photography, product photography, editorial photography, executive portraits, event photography, headshot photography, location scouting, videography, editing, web design, graphic design, DVD mastering & design, power point presentation design, 8X10 film photography, production coordinating, find & interview potential employees/freelancers, bid jobs, marketing, billing, creating maps and flow charts, scripting and phone system call flow design, find voice talent, media consulting, and coordinate work for demanding clients.
  

March 2005:  The First Responder Simulation and Training Environment Project
    Videographer

• Camera Operator (chosen from 200 Portland applicants) on this combat style documentary of  first responders participating in a simulated terror attack
• Shot video as the events of the simulated attack unfolded in the Tualatin police department
• Documented the unfolding response with 80 firefighters and other first responders
  

April 2004 – July 2004:  Los Padres National Forest Promotional Videos, US Park Services
    Producer – Director

• Videography, photography, editing, packaging design, and audio/video production
• Hired and managed freelance crew, equipment purchase and rental
• Increased sales and clientele and made suggestions for new service
  

March 2003 – October 2004:  “The Hot Dog Man”   Documentary
    Producer - Director

• Documented Bill Connell of All American Surf Dogs in his fight for Veterans’ Rights in California
• All videography, photography, editing (FCP), digital effects (AFX), and audio/video production
• Obtained and integrated news footage and archival video footage

September – October 2003:  “Make Waves” (Ruth Weiss)   Documentary

• One of the original beatniks, ruth weiss (intentionally lowercase), who barely escaped the holocaust in Germany, invited me into her life and home and shared her story
